Hi, my name is Konstantinos Voyiazis, you can call me Kosta, and I’m a senior at Lehigh studying Product Design and Architecture. While I’m originally from Brooklyn, NY, I now live in Center Valley, here in the Lehigh Valley. I was interested in taking this photography class because I’ve always been interested in transportation photography and since taking iPhoneography my freshman year, I’ve wanted to broaden my spectrum of photography and learn more about the capabilities of an actual camera.

I am an automotive enthusiast which encompasses automotive photography, but I also enjoy maritime and rail operations. I’ve always been into cars and from that my affection for model and RC cars has grown into a full hobby. I enjoy building, customizing, and photographing model cars, boats, and trains, and this aspect of model making has also drawn me closer to another field of work that I want to pursue: architecture. I love creating scale model structures of existing buildings or concept imaginations of buildings based on real-life attributes. Through this class, I hope to learn more about the ways to use my camera to its fullest potential in order to photograph my scale models in the most realistic way possible.

Welcome Kosta! I remember your experimentations in Iphoneography with shooting scale models from angles that would make them appear as full size vehicles. Another direction to explore is to make full size objects. (trains, cars, a busy street) look like models or toys through tilt-shift photography.
