This image portrays a long depth of field, with there being no focus on any specific object, subject, or person. I find that there not being a focus is essential to the story telling of the image. It allows for the shadows of the children and the objects to work together. One of the children can be seen drinking something, and it can be assumed that it is from the pot that he obtained his drink from. With a focus on one subject, it would take away from what the whole image is trying to portray.
