Title: On the Road to Los Angeles, California March
The photographer took a black-and-white photograph of two migrant workers traveling down a dirt road on their way to California. All the men have are their clothing and a few pieces of luggage. At first sight, it appears to be two laborers, but this photographer purposely arranged her subjects in front of a sign with the words “NEXT TIME TRY THE TRAIN, RELAX”. This is intriguing because only the wealthy can afford the train, and most migrant laborers take this route to LA.
