Sin TÃtulo / Medianera con Aire Luz (Mediatrix with Air Light), 1931, Horacio Coppola
This photo stood out to me because it is very off-centered. The subject (building) fills up the frame, but it is not in the smack center. The sheer perspective change threw me off at first. I didn’t know whether I was looking up or looking down which gave me a sense of vertigo. I also thought it was cool to show this sense of scale without using a super-wide lens. I am not 100% sure, but it doesn’t have the distortion of a super wide lens.
