Ansel Easton Adams, Trailer Camp Children, Richmond, California, ca. 1940, printed 1974
In this image, the children are huddled together, with the oldest child seeming to be protecting the younger ones. Their faces are a little dirty also, showing the struggles of living in a trailer camp. Along with that, the lighting is important in the image because the light is only flashing at the face of the children. It further emphasizes the dirtiness of their face, and it portrays the fear in the eyes of one of the children while the oldest is protecting them.
