Jerry Uelsmann was a artist before his time. He sort anticipated photoshop in a way. His art is alterations to photos that change the photos to be things that would not be possible to photograph. He does not try to impress anyone with his work. He just wants to blow himself away with his work. His workform is to create work that speaks to him and them listen to what it says to him. He would develop photographs and he would alter the work before and after he developed the film. These alterations would create beautiful changes to the photos that would be impossible to capture but he makes it possible and the result are just amazing and intriguing.
Maggie Taylor is an artist who creates digital works. Her works just like Jerry U is very interesting and different from anything else. Her tools are a digital camera, computer, and flatbed scanner. Her works consist of taking photographs. printing and scanning and then altering on her computer until she gets the result she is looking for. Very interesting and different.
