Photobook

Lost & Found starts with a series of portraits diving into senenic landscapes and street photography before finishing with more contemporary portraits. I personally struggled to find a theme while photographing for this book and wanted to find it on my hunt for inspiration. I come to realize that the journey overall was a process we know very well in life as being lost and then found. I was at a lost trying to make my photos unique, however I found that even the most simplistic photo(s) have a profound meaning.

I would also like to dedicate this book to my amazing friends who helped.

Nahjiah, Sophia, Ben, Joss, Alicia & Y. Sic itur ad astra.

  1. The portrait theme was probably difficult for you to obtain enough models for an entire book. A cohesive theme would have helped to tie everything together.

  2. The photos having different themes and then finding one that best suites your artistic vision shows the message of lost and found very well. This can have a deeper meaning to it because, as you have said in your artist’s statement, we tend to be lost and then found as we lose ourselves and then do what is necessary to find out who we are, and the journey to finding who we are is beautiful, much like the photographs here.

  3. I really like the photos you used in this post. My favorite one is the fourth photo. The contrast of the leaves with the water makes for a very interesting photograph. very well done!
