This piece stood out to me because for such a simple composition a lot is going on. You get the government hospital feel with the white brick walls and the flowers on the door. There are clothes thrown on the billiard table with no rhythm or reason to where things are placed in the room. I usually associate mental institutions with haunting and the shadows caused by the flash remind me of almost a demonic presence coming out behind her.
