This photograph is timeless. It is used to this day as the textbook example of good composition – it follows the fibonacci spiral composition near flawlessly. The bike rider fleshes out the frame perfectly, as it brings motion, a story, & balance to the scene. In addition, the top-down look is a fairly unique perspective in street photography to this day. Even though everything isn’t perfectly in focus, the composition of this photograph alone makes it stand the test of time. In addition, it’s a great example of properly exposed Kodak Tri-X film, a black & white film that is still produced.
